This project consisted of the construction of new water mains (pipelines) and associated connections to replace existing DN300, DN225 and DN150 cast iron water mains located along Burdell Street and Stuart Drive, Stuart. The works included supply and construction of DN250 to DN450 water mains, connections and envelopers to be installed using trenched and trenchless construction techniques.

The original project was split into three separable portions as follows:

Due to design issues related to the “for construction” design of the Queensland Rail crossing alignment, the contract was amended in November 2015 to divide Separable Portion C into two portions – Separable Portion C Amended and Separable Portion D.  Practical completion for Separable Portions A, B & C was reached as per the original contract. Works on Separable Portion D were commenced in April 2016 once the scope of works was finalised.
